Mother son Dance 2010

The mother son dance..Love it! Always fun to spend an evening with my special guys! We met up with some friends at in-n-out for dinner then off to the dance! Logan really knows how to tear up the dance floor and Noah loves the LOUD music! This will be my last year with Noah..since hes in 6th grade. Its not going to be the same without him next year..soo many "lasts" this year as my baby grows up!!

I love that the boys are old enough to carve thier own pumkins and scoop out the pumking goo all by themselves! Its the little things in llife that make me happy:) The boys love carving pumkins and with it soo hot in fresno, we waited till the last minute so they wouldnt turn to mush soo fast!

I loove the pumkin patch in reedly..its soo warm and full country charm. they actually grow their pumpkins there, and have soo many fun things to do there. We meet up with Papa Marc and Grandma Di and cousins Zoey and Johnny for a fun afternoon and picnic lunch. Too many pumkins to choose from!

We passed the cutest pumkin patch on the coast and just had to stop and check it out. It was run by a cute old couple, had a few farm animal and tons of farm grown pumkins. It was a little early in the season to buy a big pumkin , but the boys all picked out a small one to get us in the halloween spirt!!

Aunt Kristi came out for a few days to visit our family. We had so much fun spending time with her and showing her around our town. On the last day of her visit we took her to the ballon fest..it was a little earyl in the morning but she was a good sport and we had a great time!

This is just to beutiful..to see all the ballons taking off! Great way to end a great week with Kristi! (and the biscuts and gravy afterwards didnt hurt either:) )

Vagas Baby!

On our last trip to Utah we spent a couple of days in vagas..seeing the M&M store, hardrock cafe, the Mandaly Bay aquarium..lots of fun. Of course, I always try to squeeze a little education in there too...so we made a trip tp the Hoover Dam.

The kids had so much fun we ended up staying an extra day in vagas before hitting the road to utah. Now I think it will be hard to just drive through on our next adventure!

Summers end is marked by the last campout during memorial weekend at boyscout camp at shaver lake. This is such a fun way to wrap up the summer...they have all the scout activities open for the families... swimming Kayaking, sailing, crafts, riflery....

This has become a family tradition we all love...such a great way to say goodbye to summer and get ready for the new school year!! :))

For Matts birthday we headed up to bass lake for a few days to play in the water and soak up some sun! We both love bass lake, the pine trees smell amazing and the lake has so many good memories from our youth-we love to bring the kids here:)

Summer is the perfect time to let your hair down, or in this case UP! The boys went to the summer arts and sports camp this summer and evey thursday was some sort of crazy day. This was crazy hair day. The boys looked forward to this one all summer..they couldnt wait to get their mohawks!

Nothing says summer like a trip to the boardwalk...you can almost taste those corndogs and soft serve icecream..So fun! The boys LOVED the rollercoaster!! Yes, even Noah had big smiles after riding it! They must have gone on it 4 times!! Crazy thing was we had to fluff Logans hair to get him to meet the height requirement..no problem. But even with the fluff, he was too small for the bumper cars!! Ha Ha!!

Then off to our 'Kamp' site...we love the KOA...all the fun without the hassle!! They have these great bikes you can rent and the kids love ridding around the camp site!

BIg Brother

Noah has taken on the job of mowing this past year, and actually loves it. He has always been an outside guy and hard worker. I love how he has taken his job as mower and big brother and combined them. He makes sure Ethan has plenty of bubbles in his mower before they start and makes sure keeps a pace his little brother can keep up with.

Our Garden

After we got rid of the dog, it was my dream to plant a garden. The boys worked hard to get my garden back in shape..and we have since reaped the rewards!! We have fresh herbs, raddish, cucumbers, tomatos, zuccini, peppers and MORE! I even got a Kumquat tree! YUM!

The Prophet said to plant a garden so that is what will do....

April marks the start of cake season for us...with the big boys both in april and ethan in may..its not surprising my waist line isnt what it use to be!! We had a small family bday celebration on the boys real b-day. Latter they will have the friends b-day parties. For our family I decided to pull out all the stops...and created the cake even the cake boss would be proud of!!

I know Im a bit behind on the blogging thing...but my goal is to finnish off the year so I can create a book of these memories for our family. I love that it keeps us in touch with family and friends that we dont get to visit with as often. Im not sure after this year if I will just keep plugging along or go straight to digiatal scrapbooking. Time will tell! For now...Its baseball season! (or was in this case! ha ha!)

I love basebal season...its a furry of practices, games, friends and after game snacks.

We had amazing coaches this year!! They were soo good with the boys!! Really proud of all of them!!

Logans MOST favorite postion was catcher...I think it had to do that he looked soo cool! If you know my Logan, its all about the look!!

St Patricks day

This year that crazy lepracon Shawn showed up at our house agian and caused caos!! The milk turnded green and the chairs were all over the place!! We ate green waffles and green milk for breakfeast!! Noah wore a shirt that had a hint of green to tease you with and logan make sure he had lots of green so not to get pinched!! after school we had some friends over to just make that day that much more fun!!

It seems when ever we have a break, we head to the ocean. Spring break was no diffent. I just love the ocean-it doesnt really matter what city along the coast (we do have our favorites) but just let me smell that fishy ocean smell and a bowl of clam chowder and Im in heaven!

This year Noah decided to give volleyball a try. He was a little unsure at first, but after his first day of practice he came back to say "It rocks!" Its so fun to see your kids try something new and love it!

They had a great season! He loved his coach and 5th grade teacher Mr. Maddox. Noah and Logan put there money together and bought a volleyball net for the yard...now we play all the time!! Looks like we now have a new Volleyball season to look forward to!!

Hello Baby!

We were all soo excited when we found out my sister was expecting her first baby! We soon found out that it would be a boy (yeah for boy cousins!) and his name would be Appollo. We wanted to do something special for Becky and Aaron, so my mom and I planned a baby shower at one of our favorite restraunts in old town Clovis-Luna's. Yumm!

I love valentines day! I love it because its our anniversary, and because its such a fun day to tell those around you how much you love them! We celebrated 18 years together-wow! time really flys when you are having fun! We did our date nite to celebrate then helped the kids celebrate too! We filled there room with valentine balloons-boy were they surprised when they got up! I think we had over 40 ballons !!

What one loves so does the other! And that goes for basketball! Logan isnt old enough to play at school yet, so he played with the Buchanan Bears. They meet just once a week and work on skills and drills. Oh, and most important they sell donuts. So its all good.

Noah LOVES basketball...loves to play it and loves to watch Fresno State play. This year he got to do both! As a 5th grader he was able to play for his school and loved it!

He had a great coach and a great season. He may not be the fastest player out there, but as you can see, he plays with all his heart and truely loves the game! Way to go Cougars!!

Mother Son Dance

The theme this year was "rock concert". My boys thought that was waay cool-so they each grabbed their favorite rock n roll t-shirt and off we went! (gotta love boys!) I love that Noah still goes to these school dances with me even though he is in 5th grade! Most boys in his class don't go anymore-but he knows how much Logan and I love it, so hes in. (it doesnt hurt that I buy dinner at Red Robin!) We have a great time haging out-watching Logan rip up the dance floor with his crazy moves, or all doing the chicken dance. I love hangging out with my boys!!

Hearst Castle

While at the coast we decided to take an adventure to Hearst Castle. I will have to admit I was a little nervous about taking 3 boys to "hands off" adventure! But I have fond memories of going when I was a little girl with my grandma and wanted to the same for my kids. The kids did great! They were in awe of such an amazing "house"-the inside and outside pools, tennis courts, and endless rooms-all with amazing views of the ocean and mouontains. At the end of the tour the tour the boys even tried to convince nana to volunteer so she could invite them to the volunteer pool party at the castle! Now that would be an adventure!!

Good Bye 2009

We said goodbye to 2009 and welcomed 2010 at our favorite spot on the coast. There was no ball dropping or confetti, just late nite watching star track and snacking. Then a beutiful walk in the morning to our favorite coffee spot, for the most amazing hot chocolate(wip cream, sprinkles and a cookie-who needs the hot chocolate??) And latter elephant seal watching with Nana and Papa. Perfect. I think it will be a good year.

Christmas Break

After the hussle and bussel of Christmas it was time to unwind and at our favorite spot...Pismo. We loaded up the quads, and soaked in some sun and fun with Nana and Papa.

This is truely happiness for my boys!! They love the beach and spending time with Nana and Papa...its like Oreos and milk...they just go together perfectly!

Does the fun ever end?? Christmas nite was spent at Papa Marc and Grandma Di's. They made an awesome dinner and we hung out and ate fudge, played chess and of course, opened more presents!

Santa Baby

I love Santa pictures! This year my oldest informed me that Santa pictures are for babies, and he is now double digit 10, and no longer wants to sit on Santa's lap. Its so hard to see your babies grow up, but I couldnt really argue with him. He was right. So this is the first year with just the two little ones and Santa. Noah is a great big brother-even though he didn't sit on Santas lap, he is soo good at playing along for his brothers. Logan was soo excited to see the 'real' santa! I took him out of school to go see Santa and then the three of us went to lunch. I love these special times I get with each of them. Santa even gave him a bell from his sleigh..he was in heaven! His pick for lunch? Pizza hut. This was the highlight of his week!

For xmas eve brunch we headed over to uncle Bob's. This is always a highlight for my boys. They love to run around, chase chickens, take rides on the old truck and just hang out with family. (It doesnt help that there is always more dessert then food at uncle Bobs too!)

GingerBread Houses and Tree Triming

This year we deviated from our favorite gingerbread reciepe and it was a MESS! The roof would not stick, the walls kept falling down...after much work and LOTS of frosting we made a house! Good thing we didnt need to pass code...

Next year I think I will just lay out a ton of candy and a bowl of frosting and call it good...the house is really just an excuse to eat tons for candy!

I did this with the boys this year...it makes Matt crazy! So we turned on our Christmas Bop for kids and pulled out the decorations and had at it!

The kids love decorating for Christmas inside and out! They love really get into it!

Even Ethan wanted to help! He kept say "apple -apple" and putting them on the tree! Of cousrse the tree was a little unbalanced...all the non breakables on the bottom and the breakables on top! It all turned out beautiful!! It was offically looking like Christmas in our home!

The beginning of the Christmas season is always marked with the start of almost nonstop baking! This year I had a new helper...at least with cleaning the beaters!!

He takes this new responsibilty very seriously!

And the "Holiday Program"at school is always soo much fun! This year they wore these adorable reindeer antlers! (Ethan just doing whatever his brothers are doing...even if they are just wearing silly hats!)

For the 2nd year in a row Matt has coached Dry Creeks Lego Robotics group. The season starts in sep. and ends just before thanksgiving. The boys meet once or twice a week to work on the creating the platform, programming the robot and the presentation project. This year the theme was on transportation. Heres a few pics of the early stages of getting things set up.

The boys did great this year! We were soo proud of them! The came in 3rd for robot design and really wowed the judges with thier 'co-exist' theme for thier oral presantaions! WAY TO GO ROBO PANTHERS!!!

Thanksgivng in Nebraska

This was a very special thanksgiving this year. We were able to visit all our family that we hardly ever get to see in Nebraska. Most specialy the kids got to meet their great grandma, who passed away one week after our visit. When the kids learnd we were going to Nebraska they were excited to see cousins, fly on a plane and snow. Two out of three is not bad!

No snow this year, so we played in the leaves!! All week we were there is was windy and cool, but turkey day turned out beutiful:) Cousins Breanna and Monica.

Early Bird

My dad and I both LOVE turkey day, truely almost more then Christmas. Its all the good stuff without the worry of "did I get the right size" or "will they like it??" Just great food and great company. This year with us leaving to Nebraska for Turkey day, we decided to have an early bird day. Just ment we got to start counting our blessing early! Truely so much to be grateful for!

Papas Hot Rod

I decided to take our christmas pictures this year out at nana and papas house with the Hot Rod. The boys LOVE it when papa picks them up in the hotrods from school and hanging our in papas shop-I thought this would make the whole christmas picture thing way more fun! And (of course) I was right!

This is the one I choose for our cards. Of course its the one they did on their own, with out me posing them. I just love how genuinely affectionate they are for each other-a sweet moment with ethan showing off his latest find.

This year Logans soccer team needed a coach, so with a little encouragement Matt stepped up. He didnt know much about the game at first and had to have Noah be his assistant for the first few practices, but then every thing feel into place. Coach Doug became assistant, Noah became ball boy and the boys (and Matt) began to learn the game!

Im such a sucker for a pumkin patch. I just cant go to the store and buy a pumkin, it has to be a whole production. This year we were soo busy we didn't make it to our favorite pumkin patch, so we had to find a new spot to pick out our pumkins. Matt saw this place-the kids loved it. It was pumkin patch/carnival. It was a big hit. It may be hard to sell them on my cute pumkin patch next year!

This last weekend was a four day weekend for the kiddos. The teachers claim its "conference day" and "buy back day", but really we all know they just dont want 30 kids hyped up on halloween candy (really I cant blame them). So, on these long weekends when we grownups still have to work, the boys go out to nana and papas house (almost as much fun as disneyland in their eyes). They get to "help" in papas garage, ride quads and motercycles, build forts and play outside. Yes, nana and papa land is a very happy place indeed!

A Disney Halloween

There never is a bad time to go to Disneyland-but throw in a holiday season and it really just makes it all that more magical. Pumkins and candycorn everywhere, yes, its finally feeling like fall around here! This was a great trip-much needed family play time after the start of the school year. We went with Papa Marc, grandma Di, uncle John and Aunt Heather and there two muchkins Little Johnny and zoey, and even uncle Chris came to play! We said this trip was for the kids...but really we know the truth!

The Last camp out

It almost seems wrong to be bloging about camping in October-but this was just a month ago on Labor day weekend. And not to mention, here fall hasn't even begun. It was still a warm 84 degrees today! (technically, this could have been last weekend!)

Logans favorite part of fishing is playing with the bait! Though, this year he lasted a little longer since santa brought the 'rocket fishing rod'. But we are still talking minutes, not hours.

Tried new things (some we loved, some not so much), got REALLY dirty and ate mystery meat in the cafateria. Boys came home singing camp songs, more intouch with nature and each other. It was all good. We hope to repeat next year :)

Yes, its true. I finally cut the mullet off. I couldnt stand the pressure anymore-the comments on his hair and what a beutiful girl we had got to me. I had to cut the curls. Yes, I saved them. But as you can see Ethan was quite ready for his big day and did great. Give that boy a wheel and he's good to go.

On our last camping trip we were followed around by the NBC Today Show- it was a ton of fun and the kids felt like they were movie stars! And we got a few freebees too! It is amazing though-this footage was over 4 hours long and after the editing it ended up only 25 seconds! (and this was NOT our labor day campout! It was 4th of July!) Oh, well- we enjoyed our national fame-fleeting as it may be!

BACK TO SCHOOL

Ah, yes-the return to school days has come! The end of the summer campouts, endless video games, homemade icecream and baseball games. Knowing all this, my boys were still excited to see the first day of school. They were well prepared-new shoes, backpacks, and hair cuts all jumped started their enthusiasom. Logan most excited that in first grade you get THREE recesses and Noah most excited to play basketball this year. As for me, just excited to get back into some sort of routine!

First day of school-Noah was a great big brother and made sure Logan found his way around on the 'big' playground! After thier first day, Logan said "first grade rocks!" and Noah said " Its waaay better then 4th grade!" We'll check back in a few weeks and see if anything has changed!!

LIFES A BEACH

There are mountain people and there are ocean people. Luckly, for our boys they have one of each for a parent! (that is why we are content to live in fresno..halfway between both!) I am the ocean lover. As soon as we are near the ocean, I just have to open the window and smell that salty, fishy air to feel at peace. I love everything about the ocean and do my part to share that with the kids. Matt likes the ocean, but as soon as he smells the ocean, all he can think of is sand in his shorts and sticky seaweed. He is the mountain man. He feels at peace with the smell of pine trees. I like the pine trees, but as soon as I smell them I know im in for sticky pinecones and dirty toes! For this trip...it was all ocean baby!!

I think I can turn them into ocean kids yet!

Its officaly summer time when you head off to the grizzly stadium for a some baseball! Its even better when you meet up with grandparents, cousins and friends for some good ol fashion fun! This nite the Jammies (kids musical group) played and there was free vanilla icecream for all...nice way to spend a summer evening!

Retro 4th of july

For the 4th of July we headed to Santa Cruz to "camp" in an airstream. Matt has always admired them since he was a kid. I have to admit, it was awesome and I could definately get used to that kind of camping. You get all fun of the campfire, but no long hikes to the bathroom and nice comfy bed to sleep in. It was awesome!! The best part of camping is the smores!! Logan proved to be quite the marshmello roaster-perfectly golden brown everytime!!

Matt and I both grew up as tent campers...the rougher the better. (His dad was scout leader and my dad a biologist..) airsteams/campers were for softies. I think Im feeling the love of being a bit soft. Unfortunately, we realized that roughing it is much cheaper. This baby starts at 41,000.

While we were camping we were followed by the NBC morning show-they wanted to do a show on getting back to camping as family vacations. The kids loved it-they had mikes on and everything. They were such hams!!

We had an awesome 4th of July-just being together is the BEST!!(got to love those amazing tye dyed shirts too!!)

Bubble Trouble

I have this list in my head of what every kid should do in the summer time. Eat otter pops, slip n slide, make home made icecream, swim till your fingers get all pruney, play with sidewalk chalk, chase the iceream truck, swing in a swing, go camping and eat smores, stay in your jammies all day and play with bubles. Some I caught on camera-like the bubles. Others I just let happen. But I have to say- I LOVE this picture of Noah playing with bubles. That is the look of pure childhood fun.

Tye Dyed

About a month ago we got together with an old friend of mine-Gwen and her family to get the summer going. We decided to make tye dye shirts for the 4th of July, slip and slide and and top it off with pizza dinner. The kids had a blast and made some new friends (and loved meeting thier crazy uncle Gabe!)

Noahs wet and wild 10th birthday

For Noahs 10th birthday we waited until June to have a swim/water slide party. The weather was actually unusally cool...but with boys and toys nothing slowed them down!

The water slide was 18 feet high and the boys had soo much fun inventing new ways to go down. The best was not caught on film-was the game of king of the hill with Matt on top of the slide. The boys loved that the best!

Noah is not a cake kind of guy-he choose instead to have brownies and icecram. It was a big hit! (and they were no ordinary brownies-these were Giradelli triple chocolate brownies!)

Happy 10th birthay!!! Noah is growing into such an amazing young man. He has this calm and accepting personality Ive never heard a mean comment about how someone looks. He is soo easy to be with. He is the BEST big brother ever-he is so loving and kind and helpful. He is truely amazing. He is very generous and sweet. He is like me in that he is very cautionous-thinks things out, not a big risk taker but knows how to have fun. I must have done something right in heaven to deserve to be his mom. I am soo proud of him!! Happy 10th birthday!!!!

It's only once you get to be one-so we celebrated Ethans first birthday with a bbq/swim. Nothing extravagent-just some friends and family (and lots of giant cupcakes!) This picture is of my niece Zoey sneaking a cupcake!

Memorial day to remember

What do you do on a three day weekend with friends who also have 3 boys? Yes, thats 6 little boys and lots of ENERGY!! We decided to head to bass lake for memorial day weekend and we weren't disapointed-we all had a blast!!

Here the boys are at surgerpine railrod learning about gold panning and how the west was won! (and you get to buy real fools gold for suveniours-way cool!)

We took a ride in the old steam train at surgerpine-just above Bass lake. The boys loved it when the train blew off the steam. There is just something about boys and trains.

Logan's Limo

Matt has been off the last few days and he has been picking up Logan from school on his new (old) bike. All the kids at Logan's school think he is the coolest and everyone wants a ride! It's also been quite the attraction with the neighborhood kids as well.

Matt and the boys are always bringing home old junky bikes. When Matt said he had a coworker who was throwing this old tandem away and wanted to bring it home, I had my reservations. Our garage is full of bikes! He assured me that I would like this one. He spent a couple of weeks polishing out the rust, put new seats on, and tuned it up. I think it turned out pretty cute and it's fun to ride!

A few weeks ago we packed up and headed to Disneyland (we even pulled the kids out of school-bad parents!) for a few days of fun and sun. My mom and Denny came with us making the trip that much sweeter to the kids (and we really appreciated the extra pair of hands!)

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for the first time-I told mom she made a hotel snob out of me. I dont think we will ever stay anywhere else again! The kids loved the pool and slide and we ended up spending a whole day there just playing!

The kids loved disneyland...what not to love really? You get to see the real Darth Vader, ride the run away train and roaring rapinds 3 times and eat icecream in the shape of mickey ears. Its all for the kids right??

And what's more magical then seeing your baby get his first pair of ears?

Our Logan celebrated turning 6 in april. Seeing your children grow is amazing. I think back when he was this collicy baby that I would spend hours rocking, and rocking. Now he is this spunky 6 year old. He is alot like me in so many ways. He wears his emotions on his sleeve-when hes happy the whole world is happy, and when hes sad-well we all know it. One cross look from me, or anyone and he melts. I remember being that way as a liitle girl. I also envy is sponatainy, his imagination and faith. Like me he sees everything in black and white-yet he has this amazing faith. He is our peacemaker in our home and I am soo grateful to be him mom.

Bike to Work Day

Caltrans wins the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition's Bike to Work Day Corporate Challenge! 84 people from Caltrans rode their bikes to work last Thursday totaling 769 miles oneway. This is the second year that Caltrans has beat out Pelco in this annual event.

Matt was really excited to participate in this event and it has rekindled his enthusiasm in cycling. Were hoping to see a lot more cycling from him.

For Easter we went to uncle Bobs house (you might as well tell the kids they are going to Disneyland) they LOVE uncle Bobs! We had a great bbq lunch, played horseshoes, croquet, water balloon toss, rode in and on the old truck and of course had an Easter egg hunt. The kids had so much fun running around and playing with family-they wore us out! And to top the day off the kids got to go home with nana and papa for a sleep over.... life is good! And we were exhausted!

We took advantage of this beutiful spring weather and had some family photos taken by a friend of ours-I think they came out GREAT! Its not an easy thing to do with 3 little boys!! We found this patch of wild flowers (ok pretty weeds) that just seemed to scream "spring"-the boys had fun, and I found it wasnt too painful being on the other side of the camera! We might have to do this more often!

What I love about Matt is that he teaches the boys how to work hard and play hard! I also love that, to them this is a fun day helping dad in the yard (of course we did have a few bribes to keep them going...lots of popsicles and soda!) They did take a rather long lunch break (not really part of thier union contract..) but when it was time to kick it back in overdrive and move the last of the 7 yards of bark they were there! They did awesome and had a great time-they even had there friends helping! Love my boys:>

The TALK(Ug!)

These are pictures of my oldest beutiful baby boy when he was just 3years old...where has the time gone?? A friend of mine was telling us of how she had just had THE talk with her 4th grade son the other day, I smiled to myself smuggly that this sweet little boy (oK he's now 9 !) could not possibly wonder about THAT! I mean I did make it though my whole pregnancy without having to really expalin how I got that way! Then the other day we were shopping and walking in the mall and he said he had a question about what some of the kids were talking about on the playgound....well, there we were. Me totallly unprepared. I winged it. I think I did ok. Not too much information...have to save something for the father-son chat, right? I'm glad he felt comfortable talking to me and hope he will continue to come to me for anything. I still remember my dad giving me THE Talk, it wasnt pretty. Me, him and the encyclopedia. Oh, how time flys. Noah just seems older now that I know he know that stuff. The age of innocence is so short!

You have to love kindergarden! Its been 4 years since Noah was in kindergarden and I forget how much fun it is! They have a hat for every occasion...ist day of school hat, ground hog day hat, 100th day of school hat, George washingtons b-day hat, Dr. Seus hat.....you get the picture. Lately in class they have been teased by a lepracon named shawn-he has left foot prints everywhere, notes to the kids and even left his pants behind one day! Logan has has soo much fun with these lepracons, and Noah has had just as much fun egging him on (he swares he saw that lepracon out on the playground but couldn't catch him!) Logan tells everyone Noah SAW the lepracon so it must be true! Today shawn came to our house and made a mess in the kitchen-all the chairs were on the table and gold coins everywhere! He even turned the milk green and we ate green french toast for breakfeast! It sad to think next year it will be all math facts, and reading scores....I think I will have to remember old shawn and invite him back next year!

The kids beg all year for the snow day...finally we broke down and took them last saturday. I knew if we didn't go soon with this warm weather, there would be no hope. Im not big on cold and wet. Im glad we went-we had a blast! It was truely beutiful up there! I think the kids liked going down the sled with me more then dad because I screamed every time! We had snow ball fights and made snow angels and introduced Ethan to the whole thing. We were all glad to get home to warm clothes and hot baths...were good for another year!

Matt wanted me to share how proud he is of his parents genealogy efforts. His mom just completed one line all the way back to Adam and his dad has one line all the way back to 6 AD. He can now say that Heavenly Father is his 105th Great Grandfather.

His mom and dad are technically the record keepers but each of the kids do research on various lines and it all goes back to his mom or dad to record. His mom and dad now have almost 90,000 names in their family genealogy database.

We're looking forward to doing some of the temple work for all these people in the near future.

For those that dont know I am a huge Lance Armstrong fan-I love what a great athlete he is and how he has overcome cancer and gives back so much. I have always had a soft spot for cancer surviers-I spent 10 years in oncology nursing. Then this year my grandmother died after a tough battle with cancer. She was incredably tough, she continued to work while recieving chemo and radiation untill the near end. Our whole family infact is hudge racing fans and follow the tour of california every year. We were so excited when we heard that the tour was coming to clovis-we had to be there! The pictures are of us cheering the riders on as they zipped past us at 40 mph! Amazing!

~ Flashback Friday ~

As Matt and I are approaching our 17th wedding anniversary, I thought it would be a great time to flash back to when we were just dating. We met at a Family Home Evening while attending the University Ward here in Fresno. I was just 20 and Matt was 23 at the time. Matt was eager to get married having just returned from his mission, but I was young and had my whole life ahead of me, and I wasn't ready to get married so quick. We dated for a couple of years before I finally accepted Matt's wedding proposal. He proposed while floating in a hot air balloon over the Napa Valley. It was so beautiful. We were married in the Oakland Temple on Valentines Day. Seventeen wonderful years later here we are blogging about it.
