Ethan's First Kiss

We enjoyed having Lyra, Justin, Reagan Hosford over for the Holidays. Regan and Ethan played so well together that she gave her cousin a big kiss. It was soo cute.

Merry Christmas!

Every year since Noah was a baby we've been having the boys take pictures with Santa. Were glad after nine years Noah still humors us for the sake of his little brothers.

Boy's Boy's Boy's

You are never quite sure what you'll see with a house full of boy's.
Here are a couple of examples.
Matt & Ethan sharing a snack. I'm not sure who's the bigger kid.

I slept in this morning and Matt got up with the kids. When I came downstairs, I asked Matt where the kids were and he pointed to the closet. When I opened it I found my two youngest sitting in the closet playing. Ethan loves watching his brother. Dad loves when brother is watching Ethan.

~ ~ Last of the Halloween Pictures ~ ~

I think these are the last of the Halloween pictures. The kids (and Dad) had way too much fun this year. They've promised even bigger and better next year! The picture of Ethan was just too cute in his pumpkin hat. You cant help but smile when you see it.

Saturday Soccer

You have to love Kindergarden soccer-the season is short, practice just once a week and nobody keeps score...and you always get treats at the end of the game! Logans last game is saturday. He has had soo much fun, though I don't have to worry about being recruted for some traveling team, Logans coach described him as a butterfly! He just loves to run around and cheer everyone on! Wish sports could stay this way!

The Pumpkin Patch

We spent the morning at the Hillcrest pumpkin patch with the grandparents and cousins. Kids loved the steam train, the very bumpy hayride, and the wobbly bridge. After a picnic lunch we returned home for ice cream and pumpkin carving.

Lunch anyone?

With high hopes that by introducing rice cereal we might get a few more hours of sleep....well so far it has just proven to be a very messy (but in a cute way) sticky mess!

A New Meaning for "A Loss for Words"

As part of 4th grade homework there are plenty of word searches. Noah generally dislikes doing them so they become a family effort. Last night Matt was teasing Noah after he was in bed, that he had forgotten a word and that he needed to go back downstairs and find it. He let Noah sweat for only a minuet or two and then told him he was kidding.

Later that night we heard Noah talking in his sleep and Matt went in to check on him. He was sitting up in bed looking through his blankets. Matt asked him what he was looking for and he said he thought he saw some words from his word search in his bed, but they were gone now. Matt felt bad for teasing him, but it was very funny.

Fun at the Fair!

Wednesday afternoon we took the boys to the Big Fresno Fair. The weather was perfect and the fair wasn't crowed. We wandered through the agriculture buildings (Matt's favorites), checked out some cool rocks and fossils, played on the play structures, had good fair food (which probably wasn't so good for us), rode some carnival rides, and ended the day with some of those yummy cinnamon rolls. What a great family night!

Ready for Halloween!

The boys are so ready for Halloween this year. This will probably be the first of many pictures. For thoes of you not following Star Wars, Noah is Anakin Skywalker - Logan is Jango Fett, and Ethan is Yoda.

A Mess...

Matt and the boy's decided to install can lighting in our master bathroom this last weekend. Like all projects the bathroom looked a lot worse before it got better. Slate flooring is slated for the next week.

Dinasaurs rock!

For papa Marc's birthday (hes the one making dinasaur faces) he took all the grandkids to see walking with the dinasours. They had a great time! The boys couldn't stop talking about the dinasours when they got home-and of course Logan thought the dinasours poop was the funniest part of the whole show! He kept telling me it "it was as big as you mom" I guess that makes me a big poop!

NO NO bad dog!

Remember that far side cartoon, with the dog that said "my name is NO No bad dog, what is your name?" I am sure that is what Cali thinks her name is! Yes, as you can see from the picture it all started out perfect. She is the adorable puppy that Santa brought. And for a short time there was the pitter patter of puppy and childrens feet running through the house. Then the puppy chewing started and its all been down hill! Yesterday she actually pullled out the pool sweep and started chewing the pool sweep and the hose! I think the boys may have learned a new four letter word that day from dad! I know she will outgrow it... Im just not sure our house will still be standing!

Clovis Fest

Last weekend was clovis fest and they always start the festivities with hot air ballons taking off early in the morning. Matt got up early with the big boys and meet up with Papa Marc and grandma Di to watch the ballons. ( I stayed in bed and savored a few more minutes of sleep!) They boys thought it was awesome! Logan says that some of ballons "didn't have enough hot air and were tippy". I meet up up with the gang afterward for a wonderful breakfeast (thanks grandma Di). Logan ordered strawberry pancakes, but with out the strawberries and wipcream on top! He cracks me up!

Never Say Never

I woke up this morning with my 4 month old in bed with us (again). It seems its the only way I can get even a few winks of sleep. The thing is that I realized that I have said continuously that I would Nerver have my child co-sleep. Yet here I am. I also realized that I have snickered at my brother for sitting in the back seat with his baby girl when they drive anywhere. Next time were out as a family-look in the back. Ill be there, trying to keep the peace. I should have Never said Never. I couldnt help but think of all the other times I have said Never...you know "that will Never be my child" the one in the grocery store face down in the toy isle screaming at the top of his lungs. I learned that the hard way. Or my child will Never be called to the principals office, or do that or...the list goes on. I guess thats how our children teach us humility and compassion. Hopefully, with the third child (that I thought I could Never have) I will have learned to control my judgements and refain from saying Never!

A Special Sunday

Last Sunday everyone in our family was exhausted from work and school. We decided to tell the kids that it was a "Special Sunday" and we would skip church and rest so that we could have a nice afternoon with family. Uncle Chris was in town from San Diego and would be coming over with Uncle John, Aunt Heather, cousins Zoey and Lauren and Papa Marc and Grandma Di for a end of the year BBQ. The kids had so much fun skipping church and playing, they keep asking for another "Special Sunday"!

Fiesta Nite

Now that I have gone back to work, Matt has taken back the reins of cooking on weekends and worknites to give me a break. The kids are sooo excited that the boring caserole has been replaced with fun fiesta nites with dad. He was experimenting with making his own tortillas and taco shells. He spares none (ie the hats) and gets the kids involved. I think this was the first time my kids acutally ate a taco!

Labor Day 2008

I wanted to add this fun video of Logan.
Check it out here!

The family spent Labor Day having fun on the jet ski. Matt and the two older boys have gone out quite a few time this summer but it was the first time for Ethan and I. Everyone had a great time!

First day of kindergarden

Matt got us started on this blogging stuff-to help keep in touch with family he says. I think he is just trying to keep up with all the other moms. I even had a dream he started wearing my jewlery! This picture was taken on Logans first day of kindergarden (yes, Matt took them) he really does do a good job at this Mr. Mom stuff!

Welcome to Our New Blog!

Let us introduce ourselves... My name is Michelle and I've been married to my handsome husband Matt for 15 years. Our oldest is Noah age 9, then Logan age 5, and Ethan age 3 months.

Noah is an upperclassman at his school as he is now in the 4th grade. Logan just started Kindergarden. Both boys were so excited the first day of school that they were up at 5:30 in the morning.

I have just gone back to work after having Ethan and have left Matt at home as Mr. Mom on the days that I work. It's nice to be back to work but I miss my little men on thoes days.

As a Mothers Day present we took these family pictures. We have a video that you can download at http://p2-webdesign.com/handsoflove/SHOW.EXE . A window will pop up saying "File Download - Security Warning" just push the "Run" button. Enjoy!
